Baby Blues Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0
The Quebec City Baby Blues moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Capital Hill Interns on the road at Alouettes Ballpark by a score of 5-2. Baby Blues left-hander Tadamichi Chikafuji was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. The win gives the Baby Blues a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 SL R Championship.

It could have been a different outcome for Quebec City, had it not been for Ronald Dacanay, the 18-year old center fielder . Dacanay contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning to put Quebec City up, 1-0.

"We'll savor this win," Dacanay told the Quebec City Times, "then get ready for the next game."

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Dylan Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Vladsislas Meierhold for the Capital Hill Interns and Liu-liang Lei for the the Quebec City Baby Blues.
