Bacon, BC Wallop Yellows in Game 3 of R1
|
The Put-In-Bay BC have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Yucca Valley Yellows, winning 8-2 at Put-In-Bay Ballpark today. BC third baseman Chris P. Bacon was named player of the game after he went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win cuts the deficit facing the BC to 2-1 in the best-of-5 3L A Championship.
The BC took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. Facing Yucca Valley hurler Kyle Horton with one out, Bacon hit a 2-run home run.
In comments to the Put-In-Bay Times, Bacon insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Ryan Riley for Yucca Valley and Kunimatsu Uchida for Put-In-Bay.
