Host Shredders Drop Pivotal Game , Now Trail Series -

Hollywood first baseman Richard Trevithick pounded Las Vegas Flamingos pitchers at The Hollywood Bowl, but it was not enough to keep the Shredders from falling, 8-7 in Game of the Third League Championship. Trevithick was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 and was named player of the game for his efforts, even as he saw the Shredders slip to a - deficit in the best-of- series.
Las Vegas used the bat of Esteban León to get the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Flamingos ahead, 7-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Things broke our way today and that's great," Flamingos manager JJ Hoban said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."
