Dirty Reds Hammered by Jost, Fall Further Behind in R1
Portland third baseman Richard Jost was the key at Evergreen Park today, being named player of the game as he powered the Evergreens to victory in a critical Game of the Round 1. The Evergreens took the 4-3 win over the San Mateo Dirty Reds to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

Orlando Samundio, who is tied for 5th in the PL in triples with 2, aided the Portland cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 3 with 2 singles.

"It was our day today," Samundio told the Portland Citizen. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
