The Buffalo White Walkers moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Detroit Elite on the road at Detroit Stadium by a score of 13-2. White Walkers right fielder Jorge Herrera was named player of the game after he went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win gives the White Walkers a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.

The White Walkers took a 4-0 lead in the top of the third inning. Facing Detroit hurler Shiki Yamamoto with no outs, Herrera hit a 3-run home run.

"It was a good win," Buffalo manager Chris Lau told BNN reporters after the game. "I told them I was proud of them. These guys are professional ballplayers, they know how to get motivated without my help."
