Multi-HR Day for Podmarkov as Sixshooters Overpower Fighting Imps, 12-4
The Westwood Sixshooters trumped the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 12-4, at Imps Park. Westwood designated hitter Illarion Podmarkov was named player of the game for his performance. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6. Juan Carmona, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed 4 runs on 11 hits in 8 innings. The Sixshooters' win now puts them at 54-47.

Podmarkov contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Westwood in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Podmarkov took a forkball from John Fleming and stroked the home run to left-center. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Sixshooters to leap in front, 4-2.
