Mercer Island beat Akron at Mercer Island Grounds, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Kevin Gabriel, who earned player of the game honors. This win makes it 6 in a row for Mercer Island.

Mercer Island took a 6-5 lead on Miles Breeuwer's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Breeuwer hit in the bottom of the 11th, left Akron pitcher Gypsyamber D'Souza visibly frustrated.
