Screaming Eagles Get Win, Extend Streak to 4

Niek Breugelmans left his imprint on the 7-4 Mercer Island win against the Springfield Shooters. Breugelmans went 2-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Reliever Ming Zhai picked up the win. His record improves to 4-0. Mario Fuentes took the loss. Luke Corner earned the save for Mercer Island, his 5th.
Breugelmans had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fourth, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Screaming Eagles went on to win.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Screaming Eagles manager Jesús Román, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Mercer Island.
