The Northville Eclipse knocked off the Springfield Shooters, 6-4, at Old-Timers Park. Daniel Marley, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Northville won. The center fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. John Sparks was the winning pitcher. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 13 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Northville is now 42-48, Springfield 59-31.
Kuan Pi hit a bases-clearing triple off Ron Jordan in the bottom of the first, which put the Eclipse in front, 3-1. Pi had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
