Blimps Come Back Late, Nip Fighting Imps
The Akron Blimps dealt the Ithaca Fighting Imps a 6-5 loss at Imps Park. Dave Hill was the star on offense. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Akron reliever Oakland Scanlan picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Jesús Solís was saddled with the loss. Getting the save was Gypsyamber D'Souza, his 17th.

Akron relied on the bat of Numberto Pencíl to get the win. The right fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blimps ahead, 6-5. For the game, Pencíl had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hill told the Akron Times.
