Thunder Hawks Topple Blimps with Late Rally
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks topped the Akron Blimps, 10-5, at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Ft. Polk South catcher Dermott Mann earned player of the game honors. He banged out 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Ft. Polk South reliever Ralph Owens picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Hyeon-uk Sa took the loss. Ft. Polk South is now 50-34, Akron 40-44.

Ft. Polk South needed the clutch hitting of Tora Tora to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 8-5. For the game, Tora had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
