Blimps Raise Rally Flag, Beat Ft. Polk South, 4-3

Akron rode a decent outing from starter Rob Butler to victory over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Goodyear Hanger Dome. The final score was 4-3. Gypsyamber D'Souza picked up the save, his 16th. The Blimps saw their record improve to 40-43.
In the bottom of the 8th, designated hitter Leonardo Sánchez gave Akron the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Blimps had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Ft. Polk South pitcher Wynn Kelley changed that -- and Akron went on to win.
Sánchez called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
