Eclipse Walk Off with 3-1 Win
|
John Sparks never let Akron get something going. The Northville right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Eclipse to a 3-1 win. The winner was Northville reliever Jake Mitchell, now 2-2. The loser was Henry Terry. The wins continue to add up for Northville, with the latest making it 8 in a row.
Northville won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With one out and Henry Terry on the mound for Akron, right fielder Javier Murillo hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Eclipse fans to their feet.
"This place was electric at the end," Sparks said.
