Screaming Eagles Come Back Late to Clip Ogres
|
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles racked up a win at Mercer Island Grounds, bumping off the Olympia Ogres, 4-1. Kevin Gabriel, who started for Mercer Island, pitched effectively for his team. Mercer Island reliever Mike Barraza picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Isacco Taricco absorbed the loss. Mercer Island has now won 3 straight, while the Ogres have lost 3 in a row.
Thiago Yepes had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth. The Mercer Island first baseman came through with a run-scoring single to put Mercer Island in front, 2-1.
