Carson Helps Thunder Hawks Run Win Streak to 5
A 3-RBI performance from left fielder Tim Carson, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in extra base hits with 29, led the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks to a 6-3 win over the Akron Blimps. Ft. Polk South starter Sixto Bustamante was credited with the win after throwing 80 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 4-4. The third-place Thunder Hawks have won 5 straight games.

Carson came through with some timely hitting for Ft. Polk South. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the third and two down, Carson hit a 1-1 fastball for a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season made it 4-2, Ft. Polk South.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Carson said.
