Getting a good performance from designated hitter Aubrey Miller, the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Crescent City Krewe, 8-2. Miller was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Thunder Hawks. Ft. Polk South is now 36-28.

Ft. Polk South used the clutch hitting of Tim Carson to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Carson told the Ft. Polk South Observer.
