|
Ballpark of Albuquerque was the site of a tense game between the Germantown Uruguayans and Franklin Fire.
The Franklin Fire went home winners at Ballpark of Albuquerque, thanks in large part to starter John Ellis. Ellis silenced the Germantown Uruguayans, enabling Franklin to grab the 3-1 win. Ellis, now 6-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. The save was credited to Fepiku Alewina, his 10th.
He-ping Bu was vital part of the Franklin win. He was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third with one out, Bu hit a 2-run single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Fire.
Bu told a Franklin Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
With the win, Franklin goes to 47-46, while the Uruguayans fall to 42-51.
