Zoomies Reel Off Another Win
|
Shady Side beat Maine at Terriers Ballpark, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Gaspard Floris, who earned player of the game honors. Floris went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-0. The Sea Dogs, now 51-42, have lost 4 in a row.
In the bottom of the fourth, with Shady Side leading 2-1, shortstop Roy Howard hit a run-scoring triple. The hit came off Pat Butler and put the Zoomies ahead, 3-1.
