The Watford City Trash Pandas downed the Franklin Fire, 5-4, at Trash Panda Field. The Trash Pandas were led by Francisco Gallardo, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Watford City reliever Iván Molina picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. John Ellis absorbed the loss. Mike Gould notched his 10th save in 11 chances.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Trash Pandas sent teenager Sung-jae Nam to the plate against Fire hurler John Ellis. With runners on 1st and 3rd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 0-2 fastball to score 1.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Franklin manager Mark Davis.
