|
Cole Ash pitched a gem to lead Surprise to a 9-1 victory over the Ballard Beavers. In 5 innings, Ash surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Surprise has now won 3 straight, while the Beavers have lost 3 in a row.
With Surprise leading 4-1 in the top of the seventh, Manuel Usedo hit a bases-clearing double off Ballard pitcher Gastăo Fontana. It put the Shockers ahead 7-1.
