Shockers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Octopi
Surprise used a superb performance from starting pitcher José Pérez to down the Ogallala Octopi, 6-1. The Octopi have now dropped 5 straight.

Surprise used the timely hitting of Robbie Fisher to capture the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Shockers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"We had a nice day," said Surprise skipper Sake van Arem.
