Beavers Drop Octopi, 9-4
|
Beavers shortstop Ijsbert Reynoud put his stamp on his team's 9-4 win over the Ogallala Octopi. Reynoud was 3 for 6 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Northwest Territory in the contest. The win was Pedro Cuenca's in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Chris Williams took the loss for Ogallala. With the win over Ogallala, the Beavers improved to 28-18.
Northwest Territory used the clutch hitting of Ming Wang to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to give the Beavers the lead, 4-0. For the game, Wang had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Wang.
