Beavers Lose, 4-1, at Terriers Ballpark
|
It was a fun time at Terriers Ballpark, where the Northwest Territory Beavers and Shady Side Zoomies tangled.
The Shady Side Zoomies picked up a win at Terriers Ballpark, knocking off the Northwest Territory Beavers, 4-1. Starting pitcher Jeff Daniel, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Daniel got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Daniel allowed 1 earned run.
The Zoomies got a big at-bat from left fielder Kennet Knoppert. For the game, Knoppert was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 25th hit of the season gave Shady Side a 3-1 lead.
"Jeff did a tremendous job," said Shady Side manager Bob Dickerson.
The last-place Zoomies lifted their record to 10-29.
