Beavers Win in Extras
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers beat the Bompton Baby Lakers, 4-3, at Field of the Browns. The Beavers got a fine performance from center fielder Hyun-soo Yi, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The first-place Beavers have won 5 consecutive games.
Ijsbert Reynoud's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a changeup from Ryan Riley for a run-scoring single. It put Northwest Territory in front, 4-3.
"We've got a great group of guys," Reynoud said, "and we're having fun right now."
