Valley View Cougars starter John Robertson turned in a top-notch performance against the Montgomery Biscuits at Hillandale Grounds. The result was a win for the Cougars, 4-1. Valley View reliever Alan Gilbert got the win, raising his record to 4-1. Brenden Cleverdon was tagged with the loss. Ray Armstrong notched his 17th save in 21 chances.

Vic Coates went 1-3 with a double for Valley View. The 18-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Nicolas Cernin. It was his 18th RBI of the season.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Robertson.

The winning streak has now reached 6 games for Valley View.
