Dacanay Hittin' on All Cylinders
|
Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Ronald Dacanay's day was a special one.
The center fielder hit for the cycle to spark the Quebec City Baby Blues to a 13-2 victory over the Flint Crush at Dylan Park today. Quebec City manager Kyle Myers said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Dacanay in particular.
"Ronald caught me by surprise today," he said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it."
For the day, Dacanay finished with 5 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to go with his 4 hits.
Ronald Dacanay doubled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Steve Barnes in the 2nd, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
So far this season Dacanay is batting .187 with 13 home runs.
