Beavers Come Back Late to Top Fire
|
Northwest Territory second baseman Ming Wang played a vital role in his team's 3-2 triumph over Franklin. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Northwest Territory. José Soto got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Claude Richardson earned the save for Northwest Territory, his 2nd of the year.
Northwest Territory took a 3-2 lead on Wang's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Adrian Madrid in the top of the eighth, propelled Northwest Territory to the win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Wang.
The win brings the Beavers to 9-6, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
