Evergreens Deal Shredders Painful Loss
Portland third baseman Richard Jost was a significant contributor in his team's 8-7 triumph over the Hollywood Shredders. He went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for Portland. The winner was Raúl Romero in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Eric Mason took the loss. Portland, now 9-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With two out, Jost hit a sinker from Eric Mason for a run-scoring double. The Evergreens, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

In postgame remarks, Jost simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
