Victory Over Snowpeople Takes Capital Hill to 46-27
|
Capital Hill turned a good effort from starter Gani Palu-ay into a win over the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at The Igloo. The final score was 7-2. Palu-ay went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-5. Capital Hill is now 46-27, 2 games up in the Silver R.
Capital Hill used the timely hitting of Armando García to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Interns on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Palu-ay.
