|
Pitcher Qu-bing Li was sensational for the Montgomery Biscuits in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople. Li received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Li, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 1 walk. Brenden Cleverdon was called on to finish, recording his 5th save.
Juan Martínez hit a 2-run double off Bennett Stone in the bottom of the third, which put the Biscuits in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Martínez had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"Feels good to get the job done," Martínez said after the game.
The Biscuits, at 32-22, have now won 4 straight.
