|
The Montgomery Biscuits got a stellar performance from pitcher Randy Smith, who handcuffed the Bethlehem offense en route to a 2-1 win at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. In 5.1 innings, Smith surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The current losing streak for Bethlehem has reached 7 games.
The Biscuits got a big at-bat from left fielder Bob Clark. For the game, Clark went 1 for 4. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 46th hit of the season gave Montgomery a 2-1 lead.
