The Montgomery Biscuits eked out a 3-2 win versus the Bethlehem Angel Kitties at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Félix Torres, who captured player of the game honors. The 6th-place Angel Kitties have lost 5 consecutive games.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Chiel Spronck came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Bethlehem pitcher Yu-eh Wang, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Montgomery on top, 3-2.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Torres said.
