The Montgomery Biscuits trumped the Valley View Cougars, 7-4, at Hillandale Grounds. Montgomery right fielder Juan Martínez was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Qu-bing Li, credited with the win, is now 3-3. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits in 5.2 innings. Montgomery is now 22-20.

Montgomery used the bat of Albert Monday to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Biscuits ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Martínez told reporters after the game.
