Amarillo center fielder Michael Carlton was instrumental in his team's 9-3 win over the Montgomery Biscuits. Carlton, who leads the SR with a .585 slugging percentage, went 2-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Warheads. Amarillo has a 4-game win streak, while Montgomery has lost 3 in a row.

With Amarillo leading 6-0 in the bottom of the eighth, Carlton came up to bat against Montgomery pitcher Ye Zhou. Carlton hit a fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Warheads on top, 9-0.
