Angel Kitties Win 3-2 Walk-Off
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties topped the Valley View Cougars, 3-2, in USSL Rookie action at Kittie Park. The player of the game was Bethlehem pitcher and Bayamón, Puerto Rico native Ángel Díaz. Joel Lewis picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Ray Armstrong was tagged with the loss. Bethlehem now sits in second place in the Silver R at 17-13.
Tse-peng Yei was the walk-off hero for Bethlehem. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Angel Kitties center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll savor this win," Yei told the Bethlehem Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."
