The Flint Crush relied on the hitting of second baseman Piedade Regueir to stop the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 5-2. For the game, Regueir was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Carl Wilson nailed down his 1st save. The 6th-place Crush are now 15-14, the Snowpeople 15-14.
The Crush grabbed the lead in the top of the fourth. With no one out, Corey Joseph, who is tied for 5th in the SR in doubles with 8, hit a solo home run off Bennett Stone, putting Flint in front, 2-0. For Joseph, it was his 2nd home run of the season.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Regueir told the Flint Gazette. "Whatever it takes."
