Both teams had their chances, but the Bethlehem Angel Kitties eventually prevailed at Kittie Park.
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties eked out a 6-5 win versus the Valley View Cougars at Kittie Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Jim Bennett, who captured player of the game honors. Bethlehem is now 16-12, while Valley View is 11-17.
The Angel Kitties benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the sixth. With Brody King at bat and Bethlehem leading 4-2, the Valley View miscue allowed Bethlehem to plate 2 and take the lead, 6-2.
Bennett told a Bethlehem Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
