Snowpeople Drop Warheads, 6-3
|
The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople picked up a win at Ballpark of Henderson, knocking off the Amarillo Warheads, 6-3. On the mound for Ellesmere Island was right-hander Ki-seop Ch'oe, who played a pivotal role in the win. Al Maxwell finished the game for Ellesmere Island and earned his 7th save. The Snowpeople saw their record improve to 14-11.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd and no one out in the top of the fourth inning. That's when second baseman Frank Steeneveld, who is tied for 7th in the SR in home runs with 3, drew a walk. The Snowpeople went on to win.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Steeneveld said.
