Getting a good performance from left fielder Clive Edney, the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople defeated the Capital Hill Interns, 4-3. Edney was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Snowpeople. Ikaia Duncalf got the win, improving to 2-1. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The Interns fall to 5-7 and continue their wobbly start to the 2042 season.
With Ellesmere Island leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Edney hit a 2-run single off Capital Hill hurler Vladsislas Meierhold. It was the 15th hit of the season for Edney and put his team ahead, 4-0.
In postgame comments to the Ellesmere Island Citizen, Edney said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
