Montgomery starter Russ T. Nayle pitched effectively against the Amarillo Warheads at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Montgomery goes to 7-4 with the win.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 3-3, third baseman Pedro Delava won it for Montgomery. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Delava hit a 1-1 sinker from Álex Alagna for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 4-3 win.

In postgame comments to the Montgomery Gazette, Nayle said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
