Baby Blues Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Cougars
|
The Quebec City Baby Blues faced a tough opponent in Valley View pitcher John Robertson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dylan Park by a final score of 4-3. Robertson went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Quebec City reliever De'Coldest Crawford was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Dave Davis took the loss for Valley View. Quebec City, now 4-6, is off to a slow start.
Louwe Heesemans was the walk-off hero for Quebec City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Baby Blues pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Heesemans told the Quebec City Times.
