Capital Hill starter Nobuatsu Toshishai pitched effectively against the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at The Igloo. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. Toshishai got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Toshishai allowed 1 earned run. Bill Slaughter earned the save for Capital Hill, his 1st of the year.

Capital Hill used the timely hitting of Calvin Myrick to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Interns on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
