The Angel Kitties had to overcome a fine performance from Ellesmere Island pitcher Bennett Stone to grab a 7-5 win at The Igloo. Stone allowed 4 earned runs over 7 innings. The Angel Kitties, now 7-2, have hit the ground running this season.

Bethlehem used the timely hitting of Kent Fowler to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Angel Kitties ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Fowler said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
