Angel Kitties Get Road Win, 3-1

Bethlehem got a first-rate effort from pitcher Rodger Hunter, who frustrated Ellesmere Island hitters en route to a 3-1 Angel Kitties triumph at The Igloo. Hunter picked up the win for Bethlehem, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Yang-cheng Sang locked down his 3rd save.
It could have been a different outcome for Bethlehem, had it not been for Tse-peng Yei, the 18-year old center fielder . Yei contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Bethlehem up, 2-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Bethlehem skipper Jeff Rutherford.
Bethlehem is off to a hot start at 5-2.
