The Flint Crush went down to defeat to Jesús Ríos and his Valley View teammates. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Cougars. The win was Tyrone Tolbert's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Todd Montgomery took the loss for Flint. The win takes Valley View to 4-2.

Valley View took a 2-1 lead on Yuk Cong's 1st hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Cong hit in the bottom of the tenth, left Flint pitcher Todd Montgomery shaking his head.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Flint manager Bill Callahan.
