Randy Smith could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Montgomery Biscuits lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Capital Hill Interns at Alouettes Ballpark. Pedro Garza closed the game out for Capital Hill, earning his 1st save. With the win, Capital Hill improves its record to 3-2.

Devin Shaw helped out the Capital Hill cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"We were in it," said Montgomery manager António Pineda. "We just didn't score enough runs."
