The Flint Crush scored a 8-7 win versus the Valley View Cougars at Hillandale Grounds. Flint second baseman Mike Sherman nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The winner was Flint reliever Augusto Jaramillo, now 1-0. The loser was Ray Armstrong. Todd Montgomery recorded his 3rd save for Flint.

Gary Bly had a nice at-bat for the Crush with no one out in the top of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the shortstop drew a walk, which would prove important in the Flint win.

"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Sherman.

The win gives Flint a record of 4-0.
