Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Bethlehem Angel Kitties were eager to watch Wesley White square off against Russ T. Nayle of the visiting Montgomery Biscuits. In the end, the Angel Kitties won the game, 4-3, with Wesley White earning player of the game honors.
Brody King had a big 2-run double for the Angel Kitties in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Bethlehem leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Russ T. Nayle and stroked the double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Angel Kitties ahead, 4-0.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," King told the Bethlehem Chronicle.
