Rhinos Drop Otters with Late Score

The Redwood Rhinos picked up a win at The Zoo, knocking off the Tulsa Otters, 4-3. On the mound for Redwood was right-hander Rubén Sánchez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Sánchez got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. Sánchez allowed 2 earned runs. Tim Buck notched his 2nd save in 3 chances.
Had Jimmy Cooper not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Cooper hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rhinos.
Tulsa manager Luis Díaz said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The 7th-place Rhinos raised their record to 48-48.
