Hounds Suffer 6-2 Setback

It was a good time at Hudsonville Park, where fans came to watch the Hicksville Hounds and Hudsonville Flanderses get after it.
The Hudsonville Flanderses picked up a win at Hudsonville Park, knocking off the Hicksville Hounds, 6-2. Starting pitcher Carlson Foolscrow, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Ryan Barker earned the save for Hudsonville, his 6th of the year.
The Flanderses got a big at-bat from catcher Virgil Hughes. For the game, Hughes was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 80th hit of the season gave Hudsonville a 4-2 lead.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Hughes told the Hudsonville Gazette. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
The Flanderses have now won 4 straight.
